AFCA supports efficient and sustainable programs that promote self-reliance for children infected and/or affected by AIDS, as well as their families and caregivers. We work in regions that are underserved and marginalized, providing care that is measurable, real and hope-filled.
Join a Team
Would you like to travel to another country and experience a different way of living while working hand in hand with a community? If so, why not join us on a Vacation with a Purpose in Zimbabwe, Kenya or Uganda and paint a school, build a playground, distribute livestock, help in a hospital, set up administrative systems, teach English, and so much more! Each trip is different, but they are all exciting.

Climb Up This Year 2016
Climb Up So Kids Can Grow Up provides adventure travel opportunities for individuals and groups. The primary purpose of these trips is to raise funds which go directly to support AFCA’s programs, helping children affected and/or infected by AIDS. As added benefits, you will learn about different cultures while pushing yourself physically. Great beauty will surround you, but better yet—the knowledge that you are helping children who desperately need care will motivate you to reach a summit or hike just a bit further.
In each country where we have Climb Up events – Peru (Machu Picchu and Amazon Rainforest), New Zealand (Southern Island), Tanzania (Mt. Kilimanjaro), and Nepal (Bigu) AFCA partners with respected, experienced, service-oriented outdoor outfitters to provide in-country logistical support.

Ellie’s Bibs
The Ellie Bib, designed to help keep those pacifiers from wandering away. Perfect for teethers, too! We carry a wide variety of colors and patterns for boys and girls. Each bib attaches securely with 2 snaps at the neck and a snap to keep the pacifier within reach.
Story: For the last 4 years I, Jodi, have had an amazing opportunity to travel to Zimbabwe and work with families affected by HIV/AIDS with American Foundation for Children with AIDS. I have seen first-hand the need for children to have the necessary medical care, food, and income opportunities to care for themselves. This need requires money.
Warehouse Updates
We need volunteers on the first Saturday of every month to help out our warehouse. We will next be open on January 7th, 2017.
