This November 30th, The American Foundation for Children with AIDS will look to engage and promote charitable giving through the Giving Tuesday movement.

Matching gift programs
Nearly 84% of donors are more likely to give if they know that their donations are being matched by their employers.  If you are not sure if your company offers matching gifts, you can search for them on Charity Navigator, or reach out to your human resources or charitable giving department.

Recurring payments lead to bigger impact
Today, consumers are getting more and more comfortable with subscriptions and recurring payments. Promoting this kind of giving really increases the impact an individual person can make on an organization. Sustainable monthly giving helps charities manage their program funding and plan for a better future. This Giving Tuesday, take a look at the subscriptions you have out there, and perhaps do an audit to determine what subscriptions you might be able to live without, and in exchange, set up a recurring monthly donation. Maybe it’s that makeup box you never seem to use, the extra channel on your television you don’t watch enough, or that app on your phone that you haven’t opened in months. Cut out the access and put your money into a positive impact. Set up a monthly donation today!

Your monthly gift can provide the following:

  • $10/mo › Can provide two families with water filters.
  • $25/mo › Can feed a child for a month, giving them balanced, nutritious meals
  • $50/mo › Can pay monthly high school fees, giving a child the gift of education
  • $100/mo › Can provide a new family with a trio of pregnant goats every quarter.

Volunteerism
Money isn’t the only way to give. We need your skills to bring awareness to our programs. Use your gifts, skills and talents to help spread the word of our work. Help us tell our stories through writing. Use your eye for photography to take photos we might need for an event. If you have a will, we have a way for you to help.

Donate Cryptocurrency
Donating cryptocurrency is a non-taxable event, meaning you do not owe capital gains tax on the appreciated amount and can deduct it on your taxes. This makes Bitcoin and other cryptocurrency donations one of the most tax efficient ways to support AFCA. Donate cryptocurrency to AFCA today!

We accept the following cryptocurrencies: Bitcoin (BTC), Ether (ETH), Litecoin (LTC), Bitcoin Cash (BCH), Zcash (ZEC), Gemini Dollar (GUSD), Basic Attention Token (BAT), Chainlink (LINK), 0x (ZRX), Storj (STORJ), Dai (DAI), Amp (AMP), Filecoin (FIL), Ankr Network (ANKR), Tezos (XTZ), BarnBridge (BOND) and more.

Send a gift
No matter the holiday or time of the year, you can make a donation to AFCA and/or purchase something in honor of a friend or family member.

For example, you can buy a goat that will help an orphaned family break the cycle of poverty. Or, you could purchase a flock of chickens and help some AIDS orphans start their own egg business! Or, you could buy life-saving medicine, giving a child the gift of life. Whatever you choose, you’ll be giving HOPE to children. We will gladly send a holiday or gift card to a loved one, letting them know that they were the reason you decided to change young lives. Make a difference in the life of a child, a difference for years to come!

We hope that Giving Tuesday inspires you to think about your giving plan for 2021 and beyond and ways that you can make a difference in the lives of others.
