30,000 MILES

30000Miles is a virtual walk/run through the continent of Africa which will take you from capital city to capital city of all the countries in mainland Africa, covering a total of approximately 30,000 miles. You won’t walk alone though, as people from around the country will join you to complete this challenge in the shortest time possible.

The walk starts on April 15, 2018 and continues until June 17, 2018, unless we go through Africa before then!

Money you raise will help children who are infected or affected by the AIDS virus in Africa.

  • Registration opens on April 2

  • At registration, participants will register their Fitbit, Garmin or free app (provided by AFCA)

  • Registration is $25 and participants have a minimum fundraising goal of an additional $25

  • The more people who participate, the faster we’ll walk through Africa. So, invite all your friends!

  • Be one of the first 100 to raise $100 or more and receive a 30000 t-shirt

PASS MY PLATE

PassMyPlate is an educational challenge promoting awareness of how extreme poverty, defined by the World Bank at $1.90 or less a day, has resulted in a hunger epidemic affecting millions around the world.

Funds raised by this challenge will help us build sustainable food solutions for children living in Sub-Sahara Africa who are infected or affected by HIV/AIDS. The project is a way to help these children and their guardians break a cycle of poverty and achieve health and self-sufficiency.

Providing food and hope to children is not the only benefit of PassMyPlate. The project enhances participants’ understanding of global issues.

  • PassMyPlate addresses important causes—global health, global hunger, and global poverty—while promoting an important value—sustainability

  • We provide recipes and suggested menus to make your planning easier

  • You can participate for 1 day or for 1 week

  • Invite friends and do this as a team!  Funds last longer this way.

  • Goal: $35,000 to help 360 families
